To counter violent extremism amongst youth and children in the community, women have great role to play because this is their offspring and are malleable when young and tender, shaping at that age is quite easy and will reduced the risk of that child to be badly influenced.

Mrs. Gift Omoniwa Executive Director PIBCID during the 2 day training on Leadership and Mentorship skills urge the community women not to fail in their duty as a mother for it is very crucial in enhancing the development of the community.

Since Women are recognised as the agents of change and critical actors in the life of a child, they should know that they have a great role to play in preventing violence extremism amongst children and youths.
